This was the 2010 Europeade
The 2010 Europeade in Bolzano dates back already two months, and the Local Organizing Committee delivers a positive summary of the event. The Europeade has been a huge success for Bolzano. During five days, the participants enlivened and enchanted the streets and squares in Bolzano. One of the highlights was certainly the big parade through the city. About 5,500 folk dancers and singers (approx. 200 groups) from 30 European countries participated in this year's Europeade in Bolzano. For the first time in its history, the Europeade was not organized by the City Council itself but by a local association - the Arge Volkstanz South Tyrol. After the event at the end of July, the organizers finished the pending tasks. In September, then, a closing meeting of the Organizing Committee as well as a party in honour of the volunteers took place at the Fiera di Bolzano fairground.

Big parade through Bolzano
Tomorrow evening at 5 p.m., more than 5,000 dancers, singers and musicians from all over Europe take part in a parade leading through the streets of Bolzano. The parade is one of the highlights of this year's Europeade edition. Setting off at the Druso stadium, the Europeade parade leads through the city centre of Bolzano and ends in Piazza della Vittoria. There, all participants and spectators can dance and make music at the "Europeade Ball" until late into the night.

Europeade starting tomorrow
More than 5,000 dancers, singers and musicians will be hosted in Bolzano during the next five days. Many of the participants are already on the road in order to arrive in Bolzano on time and to participate in the biggest European folk dance and music festival. From July 21st to July 25th, the participants with their colourful costumes will paint the city in the most glowing colours, and celebrate a huge folk festival together the citizens of Bolzano. During the next five days, Bolzano will be enlivened with music, dance and entertainment. "We invite all the citizens of South Tyrol to witness in person the biggest European folk dance and music festival in Bolzano", says Monika Rottensteiner, chairwoman of the Local Organizing Committee.

23,000 lunch boxes prepared
The Europeade, the biggest European folk dance and music festival, is just around the corner and the organizers are working day and night in order to make sure that this big event is going to be a success for Bolzano and South Tyrol. Thanks to the volunteers’ help, 23,000 lunch boxes for over 5,000 participants have already been prepared.

2010 Europeade: One week to go
The biggest European folk dance and music festival is just around the corner. In one week, Bolzano hosts more than 5,500 dancers, singers and musicians coming from all over Europe. The last preparations for the 47th Europeade, the first edition taking place in South Tyrol, are in full swing. From July 21st to July 25th, the colourful costumes and dresses of the participants will paint the city in the most glowing colours.
