23,000 lunch boxes prepared

The Europeade, the biggest European folk dance and music festival, is just around the corner and the organizers are working day and night in order to make sure that this big event is going to be a success for Bolzano and South Tyrol. Thanks to the volunteers' help, 23,000 lunch boxes for over 5,000 participants have already been prepared.

The lunch boxes are already well-filled, all that is still missing are the fresh products that will be added during the five days of the event. The organizers had to meet some logistic challenges that they would never have mastered without the help of the numerous volunteers, all the sponsors and partners. The participants will get a breakfast in the morning, a lunch box at noon and a warm dinner on the Prati del Talvera of Bolzano in the evening. After a long and intense phase of preparations, the capital of South Tyrol is now ready to host the happening. The participants coming from more than 30 European countries and the South Tyroleans can expect a unique festival that Bolzano has probably never seen before. "One just has to witness a Europeade personally. This year, South Tyrol hosts its first Europeade and during five days, the colourful costumes and dresses of the participants will paint Bolzano in the most glowing colours", says Monika Rottensteiner from the Local Organizing Committee.
