Big parade through Bolzano

Tomorrow evening (saturday) at 5 p.m., more than 5,000 dancers, singers and musicians from all over Europe take part in a parade leading through the streets of Bolzano. The parade is one of the highlights of this year's Europeade edition. Setting off at the Druso stadium, the Europeade parade leads through the city centre of Bolzano and ends in Piazza della Vittoria. There, all participants and spectators can dance and make music at the "Europeade Ball" until late into the night.

During the past days, the 5,500 Europeade participants have already fascinated the spectators with their music and dance performances. The next highlight of the event follows already on Saturday in the evening, when all the participating groups coming from 30 European countries participate in a colourful parade leading through the city. The parade sets off at the Druso Stadium at 5 p.m. before moving onto Viale Trieste and Ponte Druso. Then, the itinerary takes the participants through the city centre of Bolzano, beneath the arcades to Piazza della Vittoria where the parade ends in the big Europeade Ball. Already before the parade starts, from 1 to 3 p.m., a choral concert takes place in the Cathedral of Bolzano. On Sunday at 10 a.m., the participants and residents gather in the Cathedral of Bolzano to celebrate mass together with the Dean of Bolzano, Reverend Bernhard Holzer. On Sunday at 4 p.m., the big closing ceremony takes place at the Palaonda stadium with performances of 2,500 dancers and musicians from all over Europe. The entrance to all the events of the Europeade is free.
